Advanced Floral Design II (2021)

This course will emphasize continuing to develop entry- level skills necessary for employment in the floral industry. Subjects include, but are not limited to, principles of design, elements of color, creative expression through original works of art, elements of design, individual flower/foliage species care, maintenance & identification, event planning (weddings, parties, events, etc.), holiday floral sales and floral shop management & accounting. Students will focus on Art Nouveau, Free-Form Expression and Art Deco floral style influences and continue developing gluing techniques. Students will be required to complete a placement Supervised Agricultural Experience as part of their course grade. Participation in FFA & SAE activities are an integral part of the course grade.
