This is an intensive course to assist the student in developing didactic and manipulative skills to recognize and treat illness and injuries in the pre-hospital environment. It details basic cardiac anatomy and physiology, normal vs. abnormal cardiac function, electrocardium recognition of cardiac dysrhythmias and the interventions including pharmacologic therapy, pertaining to specific dysrhythmias. Designed for both the healthcare professional and the pre-hospital care professional. Students will learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitations (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED). Successful course completion results in adult, child, and infant CPR/AED certification and basic first aid certification.
